The relaxation of international entry protocols and the increase in passenger demand have prompted Emirates to implement a plan to increase services and capacity, a plan that also includes Italy.
The carrier intends to introduce flights and extra capacity in over 10 European cities, including Rome, and then Birmingham, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Hamburg, London, Lisbon, Madrid, Munich and Zurich. Many of these cities will be served with multiple daily flights.
Covid tested flights
In Italy, all Emirates flights between Dubai and Milan, Rome, Venice and Bologna are operated in ‘Covid tested’ mode, which makes it possible to avoid quarantine or fiduciary isolation for passengers arriving in Italy from Dubai as they are subjected to molecular tests. or unsanitary before departure and at the airport of destination in Italy. In addition, from 20 September Emirates connections between Rome and Dubai will be daily.
The moves on the United Kingdom
Another move by the carrier affects the United Kingdom. Emirates will in fact resume flights to Newcastle airport from 15 October, with four weekly connections to the North East of England.
By the end of October, the company will therefore offer 77 weekly flights to the UK, including six a day from London Heathrow Airport, using five A380s; two daily connections to Manchester on the A380, 10 weekly to Birmingham, daily flights to Glasgow and four weekly to Newcastle. Earlier this month the UAE entered the UK’s “amber” list and travelers arriving in the UK from Dubai do not need to quarantine at a government-approved hotel.
