By November 26, 2021News

Venice’s Marco Polo airport, where FAS AIRPORT SERVICES operates, managing layover and passenger re-routing for various airlines such as Ryanair and Volotea, hosted the winter edition of the Venice Airport Workshop, a biannual b2b event that connects travel agencies in the Triveneto with tourism bodies and airlines operating in the airports of Venice, Treviso and Verona. After the suspension of about two years caused by the pandemic, the event resumed in attendance, and was organized at the passenger terminal to allow guests to view the security measures implemented for the management of Covid-19, including the two buffer points at the airport.

The workshop was well received, confirming the renewed liveliness of the sector: over 100 travel agents, 34 airlines, numerous representatives of national tourism promotion bodies, who had the opportunity to deepen their professional knowledge on connections offered by Venice, Treviso and Verona in the winter season November 2021 – March 2022, and on the prospects for the summer season 2022.

Camillo Bozzolo, Save Group Aviation Commercial Director, commented: “From the workshop there emerged the confirmation of a strong positivity for the future on the part of all operators. In particular, travel agencies express strong demand from the public, to which airlines respond with more flights and seats for sale. This consolidates the recovery that began last summer, with a gradual return to the levels of 2019 “.
